Harry Pope is one of the UK’s most dynamic, creative and versatile drummers working today. His style effortlessly encompasses Jazz, Pop and Electronic beats. Recent live and studio credits include Jackson Mathod, Ellie Dixon, Alfamist, James Beckwith, Kyra, Ashaine White, Charlie Allen, Edison Miller, Nessi Gomes, Neue Graffik Ensemble, Arthur Ohara and Chelsea Carmichael, RSNO Big Band, Phil Meadows’ Beware of the Bear, Fika and Skint. Alongside this he has played on hundreds of creative and commercial recordings, including sessions at Abbey Road, Air Studios and many others while tracking from his own studio in South East London. He recently recorded an original score to “A Pretty Red Dress” film score, which premiered at the BFI this autumn. His live work has taken him to five continents, and includes headline shows at Tokyo Jazz Festival, Jakarta Jazz Festival, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and JZ festival in Shenzhen, Goa Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival and Love Supreme Festival, amongst countless others. While playing for Jackson Mathod he hosts a late late show at Ronnie Scotts jazz club each month, and his fender rhodes trio Electric Footprints plays Old Street Records every Tuesday. His project SURRENDER, with tattooist Loz Keystone, which fuses live tattooing and improvised drum score debuted in winter 2022.
